Eat a High-Protein Meal

Whether you’re trying to build muscle or lose unwanted body fat, one of the most important things you can do for full-body recovery following a grueling workout is eating the right foods. A nutritious meal is key for any type of physical exercise as these nutrients transfer to your muscles. When working out, you strain your muscle fibers to the point that they need to recover before they can grow. Choose foods that are high in protein to boost this recovery process. This can include low-fat dairy, eggs, tofu, beans, nuts and seeds, protein bars, or protein powder supplements. Rest

Finally, take some time to rest. After all, you’ve just accomplished a tough workout, so there’s no need to overextend your body. Do not perform another training session after the one you just finished unless you feel that the original was too light or not up to standards. Use this time to get a massage, take an ice bath, or just kick your feet up and enjoy yourself.
