Rudy joins the team in Cupertino, California after working as a Senior Shift Lead at the Hyatt House Santa Clara. Named Employee of the Month several times for his outstanding guest service, Rudy was the first point of contact for guests at this hotel located in the heart of Silicon Valley. Rudy has been an assistant manager at Namaste Plaza Groceries and a technical assistant at Gilroy Gardens, all the while looking for the opportunity to work in Fitness, an industry that has long held his attention. That door opened to him at our Cupertino location!
Rudy was born in India and moved to California with his parents when he was 16 years old. They settled in Cupertino, near his aunt who moved to America several years earlier. After graduating from Cupertino High School and De Anza College, Rudy volunteered at local senior centers, giving his time to those who were lonely and in need of companionship. Empathy and compassion are strong traits in Rudy’s character as his life’s dream is to return to India and open a non-profit fitness and recreation center! Growing up financially unstable, Rudy witnessed firsthand how difficult it is for many to afford a gym membership in India, a luxury only for the upper classes. As a child, Rudy watched “Arnold” movies and dreamed of working out and having muscles like Schwarzenegger. If he has his way, Rudy will help those dreams come true for many children in his homeland!
After a day at work, Rudy enjoys cooking and listening to classic 60’s and 70’s music.
